About Dr Mlauzi

Dr Raphael Mlauzi is a distinguished otorhinolaryngologist or ENT surgeon focusing on complex ear, nose and throat surgeries. Additionally, he has a particular interest in head and neck surgery and paediatric airway disease.

Dr Mlauzi’s passion for ENT surgery is evident in his extensive academic record. He is a Fellow of the College of Otorhinolaryngology, Head and Neck Surgery and has received his Master of Medicine in Otorhinolaryngology from the University of Cape Town. In addition, he has a postgraduate Diploma in Maternal and Child Health. He has received training in advanced trauma life support, basic life support, male circumcision, comprehensive paediatric HIV care and paediatric HIV disclosure, to name a few.

Furthermore, Dr Mlauzi has been published in the International Journal of Paediatric Otolaryngology for his clinical studies for severe obstructive sleep apnoea syndrome and continues to document his research in other areas of focus relating to paediatric ENT.

Dr Mlauzi strongly believes in providing his patients with the highest quality of evidence-based care while still taking a patient-centred approach to ensure that the treatment and management of his patient’s conditions is a collaborative effort.
